I had a Mr. Medl...Beautifully written, I must say. <BR/><BR/>I had a Mr. Medley in my own Mr. Carroll, our high school College Prep English teacher. He treated us like smart individuals - we read <I>Steppenwolf</I> and Goethe and "Paradise Lost" and loads of Keats & Shelley - yet had a wry and sometimes naughty sense of humor. He never told me what he wrote in Gaelic in my senior yearbook...He wore a suit everyday of school but jeans and a straw hat on the weekend streets. I, too, am terribly sad that he is gone but there is so much of him that I bring to my own classroom now.<BR/><BR/>Good stuff, you.
