A good friend of ours from Louisianna was here visiting before we all pile in the car tonight and drive down to Iowa for their version of Mardi Gras! Downtown Dad took him fishing in some beautiful Minnesota lakes and caught several of our native fish.
Apparently the fish in Louisanna are less toothy with softer gills, because one of our great hunters got a boo boo. Awwww.

Is the Mardi Gras thing in Sioux City??? As an Iowan, I can't even keep track of all the town festivals of varying diversity. Heck, as a kid we'd go to Cucumber Days in Dike, Iowa. Do you realize how many inappropriate jokes that spawns???
