It is a little dark, but I wanted to catch the view as the sun was coming up, since the sunrises, which can be seen from three separate windows in my house, are what ultimately endeared us to this place. The house faces North, but the front door faces East. Our Front Door is a full, clear-glass front door, with a full, clear-glass storm door. A lovely window on our little corner of the world... but windows have a way of going both ways! Because of that, I was glad this week's picture WAS NOT What People See When They Come To Your Door. Initially, we planned to replace the front door immediately with something that would limit the outside world's view of us as we darted down the hall, or up the stairs in our various stages of morning undress. But as time went by, and each new day's sunrise greeted us with a different array of pink, or violet, or light streaked clouds, our opinion of the glass doors softened - and we learned to wear robes, and pants.

That is a nice view! Nice trees, nice light....too much snow for me!
Have a great Monday!
Dark or not, I like your photo with the sunrise, all the trees, and the snow. You have very nice view out your front door.
oh, the first to comment! We too live in a fish bowl, and have learned to be dressed in our own home...
I have thoughts of getting up with the sun and have gone so far to have done it without a reason on occasion. However, on the weekends, I enjoy the extra hour - until we get a time change again. I imagine in the spring/summer, you have a nice shade from the tree there. You have a great, colorful sunrise. NLM
What a lovely picture and a fantastic view! Great post.
I think it's more the case that your neighbors just need to get used to seeing you naked.
That's a fantastic view, and I can certainly see why you've opted for pants and robes instead of a wooden front door!
Wow, nice bit of snow! Do you know how much snow we had here this winter?? Zip, nada, nix, nothing!! Just rain!!
Wanna invite me over??
How beautiful. Look at those wonderful trees and your sunset is glorious! Enjoy...
Oh what beautiful light!
I love pink skies!
What a great picture!!
Your view is beautiful! sigh...
You can't see through our front door, but we have a sheet of windows in our front room. There went our days of prancing around half-neked as well!
What a lovely view and thank you for your compliments on my cake.
Your front door sounds very pretty.
I have a sunroom in the back of our house that is nothing but windows - so we are easily seen as we are walking around in our family room. And having no fence between us and the neighbors has taught us to always be dressed in that room!
OOOO, your view is beautiful. We live way out in the sticks and run around dressed or undressed any old way we feel like. Boy, have we ever surprised some people. hehehe
Thank you for stopping by, Linda...my pix are finally up. :)

I can see why you didn't change the door...that view is priceless!!
How beautiful. I love the trees, they look like you could climb them. It is a beautiful photo.
What a wonderful view to wake up to each morning regardless of the weather. That and a hot cup of coffee would start the day right. I'm not into window coverings either. Better to dash and keep the overhead lights off!
I like your wrting style a lot--will be back.
I love the trees. They just make it seem so much more done. I abhor places that lack trees.
The stop sign almost looks like the sun coming up.
And I loved the ring of fairy flowers. Very imaginative.
East facing - Good feng shui!
Actually about your comment on my post, Interior Design is one of many degrees that I've collected and Feng Shui was an elective so I took it. Trust me. This house is ALL wrong in that regards. Otherwise, to someone not in the "know", it's wonderful and the location couldn't be better.
We just aren't willing to underprice ours so much, you know.
Don't put a robe on just for me, I won't look I promise. My kids would have LOVED those trees when they were younger...they were real climbers! The view you have is amazing when that sun is coming up, just beautiful.
That's a great view, and without too many neighbours to screw it up either! You can have the snow.
I think this is a beautiful photo, especially since it was taken just as the sun was coming up...love that time of day.
And, to answer your question at my place: I drove him up that tree !
Any other questions?
I can see why you kept the front door With a sunrise like that I would have done too!
That's lovely. I'll bet it's gorgeous in the spring and summer. I would like to see a picture of it then too.
I've tried several times to see your picture and at last it's uploaded. I think you captured a lovely view with the sun appearing through the trees.
I would just let those nosy neighbors think it was the moon. Afterall the sun peaks through every morning, too. Yes? (:
An absolutely divine sunrise.
What a beautiful photograph. I can actually see the first remnants of the sun.
Oh, what a pretty picture and a pretty view from your front door! So may Fun Mondayers have the snow to deal with. i think I am one of the few who don't. Looks beautiful, though!
Found you from a comment on Mrs. G's site, read your profile; my in-laws live in Moorhead. Your picture makes the snow look lovely--kudos to you for beating the sun up!
Terrific photo....love your view and the sunrise!
Beautiful view. Your home sounds lovely.
I love the dark colors of the picture. That blue is gorgeous.
