Who Knew?

The women born in the 50's and early 60's will understand this...

I was watching VH1's "I Love the 70's" and learned this shocking fact:

Maureen McCormick, better known as Marsha Brady was the voice for the Chatty Cathy doll!

Weird.

I thought, - no way, the age isn't right. So what did I do? I Googled it. Google in all it's rainbow colored knowledge told me that Maureen indeed was ONE of the voices, but the first voice was June Foray, better known as Rocket J. Squirrel.

Weirder.

Chatty Cathy huh? Did not know that. Chatty Cathy was slightly before my time - I was the Betsy Wetsy era.

haha..how neat :) they used to always call me Marsha Brady in school because i have this silly long brown hair with the silly CONSTANT part down the middle. my friend told me once that if i kept the part like that, i'd eventually go bald on that line. i'm skurred.

I was born in 1961 and had a Chatty Cathy doll. Not only that, my Grade 1 teacher gave me the nickname "Chatty Cathy" because I never stopped talking. I'm still doing that only it's on the printed page. Please stop by my blog, Poetikat's Invisible Keepsakes and check out my topical verse poetry. I am adding you to my "blogfellows" list and would be delighted if you would do the same.
